The Story So Far…
Katherine Reed, the successful CEO of Augur Systems, was on top of the business world with a highly profitable government contract for arms and supplies. When she received an unreasonably low offer to buy her company, Katherine firmly declined. However, Michael Hale, the influential CEO of Blackforce Incorporated, wasn’t willing to take no for an answer. Through hacking, corporate interference, and a fabricated scandal, he managed to damage Augur’s reputation and tank its stock prices, leaving Katherine with no choice but to sell her company, along with her professional reputation and authority.

Katherine Reed now finds herself in a diminished and humiliated position, adjusting to life as a subordinate at Blackforce Incorporated. Despite her previous status, she is forced to navigate her new role, where her autonomy is continually challenged. Katherine’s challenges intensify when she realizes the depth of control her new superiors exert over her. Meanwhile, lawyer Christina Taylor attempts to regain her freedom, while another employee, Yui, finds herself grappling with the intense demands of the Blackforce offices. Elsewhere, news anchor Chloe Mercer contemplates leaving her role after experiencing unethical pressure for a news scoop, yet her superior, Lydia, has plans that could keep her anchored to the defense industry's challenging environment.
